Ok, I tried The Cutest Blog on the Block for the backgrounds and found this one. Not supposed to be St. Patrick's Day background, just one that is nice but not over the top. It will keep me going until I have time to figure out how to make my own.  :D

My new best friend....

This is my new 1 terabyte (1000 Gigs) hard drive that I now use to back up my computer. Wow! Thanks, guru.  :D  I now have TIME MACHINE running again after months. So, if I screw something up, I should be able to fix it by dragging out a file in the archives. Woo!

Still changing the blog colour - need to figure out how to put a simple background there - argh!

Just thought I'd try something different with the look of my blog. Wish I knew more about fixing the background, but I figure I learned how to change the template and change the colour. I'll have to get time to try and learn more. :D

Granville Mall!

Hadn't been on Granville Mall for eons! As we crossed on Robson I looked south and thought "something is wrong here" - it just looked weird! Then I realized the trees were all gone!  THEN I saw the tree stumps - what the hell is up with THAT! If you're going to chop the tree down why wouldn't you just chop the stump right to the ground.  Holy cow - this looks so ridiculous!

And where the hell did the Capitol 6 theatres go!!!!?????

I really must get out more and see what's going on out there. :D

Tribute to Ray...

Yep, we were back on River Road today. This tugboat went by and the WAVES were INCREDIBLE! Unfortunately, I was driving and didn't have my camera ready. So when we got to WalMart I checked and, sure enough, there it was still coming down the river. But by this time it was slowing down and the waves were not as incredible. DAMN! But I thought I'd post it anyway and add a theme Ray did in the summer for the Hockey Night in Canada theme contest. I still say his was the best!!!!!!

Love how it's getting lighter earlier and staying light later..... woo hoo!

Ok, that's what I've been doing for the past 3 days!  Sleeping. Sick as a dog!  Who knew dogs got that sick! A bad cold, but I'm feeling better today, thank heavens!  (I like my cute little sleeping cow.  hahahah)

Last time I posted was Monday and I saw the overturned tanker. Too bad that picture wasn't better, but, oh well... Then Tuesday was supposed to be another dump of about 10 cm of snow, so I wasn't very excited. Here's how it turned out:

That was taken at 4:51 p.m. It wasn't really that blue or night-looking. My iPhone seems to like to add a blue "filter" sort of effect to darker photos.

Anyway, then I got sick Thursday and haven't been outside the house door for nearly 72 hours. Yikes!
