Grasses

Along Granville Avenue, on either side of Gilbert Road, there are various kinds of grasses in the boulevard planted by the City of Richmond. A few weeks ago on my way to work I really noticed them for the first time as they were just blowing in the wind. I love them!

Years ago while watching a show on HGTV there was a place that had a HUGE garden of wild flowers and trees and I decided then and there that if I ever own a house with a yard that's the kind of yard I want. No manicured flower beds for me. I want it to be planned out so that it's gorgeous but looks like it just grew that way. Seeing these grasses reminded me of that show and that lovely yard.

Now Rick and I have an ongoing argument. When we win the lottery he wants a manicured yard of flowers, and I want a wild one. I think we'll have fun visiting each other's houses - hahahahaha.

I couldn't get great pictures because I didn't have my camera, only my cell phone, but here are a few.  Something like this would be the backdrop and then flowers in amongst them. It will be wonderful....
