Purple flowers.............

Some lovely purple flowers - don't know what they are, but they were growing by the side of the road. Love the rain drops, as usual. Look closely at the flower farthest on the right - two little tiny rain drops sitting there. :)

I've never seen this many blossoms on an African Violet - it's always one or two or something.......
I think this is a champion! And Grace got it at Safeway for about a dollar - go figure! :D

April 12 - 24

Chris Botti at the Orpheum on the 12th - it was AWESOME! Chris has the most beautiful tone on the trumpet. The band was excellent!

I was too lazy to hang around - didn't have my CD with me. I could have stood around and just gawked at him - hahahahahaha. But I didn't. :|

Still loving my macro lens! I love how it makes everything look so big and you can see all the little dew or rain drops.

Some miscellaneous blossoms for which I have no names........

Pseudobombax Ellipticum - who knew!!!!!!!!!!

A friend saw this in Cuba recently and then my sister told me the name - since she had seen it in Cuba a few years ago. Psuedobombax Ellipticum. What a beautiful tree/flower. Also called "the shaving brush tree". Just gorgeous!

It blooms from March to May and blooms are white, near white and pink. Love the pink! :)

And I do not claim to have taken these photos. I am just sharing them and enjoying them with you. :)

African Violet

I've never seen an African Violet with this many flowers on it!!!!!!!!!!! Do I just not get out often enough? :)

Flowers at Dr. K's. I love using the macro lens to get close-ups. These two were without the flash. It was about 7 p.m.

This one was taken with the flash - makes the colour look off. The true colour is the shots above.
